Speechless... Abstract news "...he's dead". I don't really know what to wrote exactly, don't want to post another cliché kitch comment about how an amazing artist he was, the way he changed the music industry, how he invented the videoclip and almost Mtv by the way, in other words, things the world allready know.
I do remember, when I was a kid (1990, I was 7...), first thing I was doing, just after trowing my bag through the livingroom of my parents' appartment when I was comin' back of school, was locking me up in my room, turn on my cassette player and try to reproduce precisely everyone of his moves, listening to the album BAD, having no idea that DANGEROUS will pop up the year after...
I'm into musical references stuff, beatmakin', diggin', and simply musical culture, not becase of him, but thanks to him for sure... I will not post the usual "Beat it, P.Y.T. , Wannabe startin' somethin', Bad, Thriller" selection. The followings are personal references, reminding me an event or a moment, no matter what kind of... That's probably what does his music to all of us. It's his, but ours as well...
That's what good music is about: being a personal mark trough moments of life. A reminder of a good or bad event. A friend, a place, a lost one, a victory, a beloved one, something or someone special... That's what Michael Jackson's music was about.
The man is gone, the music stays... Thanks mr. Jackson
Last saturday, my homies of Fayabash invited SebastiAn for a gig at the Loft club. Unfortunatly, the artist cancelled 3 hours before showtime... Anyway, Adry and Poz were asked to solve that state of crisis. And damn, they did pretty well. Thanx for the mess guyz, that night was a good night!
Summer time... Swagg to the fullest, Captain Morgan in the veins, homies by my side, high on moonlight man, and, thanx to Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.,listening to this right now.
A bit of cliché, a bit of humour, a bit of fascination for pathetic instants, a bit of talent... Christoph Martin Schmid's work has something intriguing. Here's a couple of pictures of the "Trouble in paradise (day & night)" serie...

"SebastiAn (born Sebastian Akchoté), employs a distinctive style which is nailing his name into the current French House scene with a score of releases, ‘Smoking Kills (?)’, ‘H.A.L.’, ‘Ross Ross Ross’ and his latest offering ‘Motor’. A string of knockout remixes touched by himself include that of Annie, Daft Punk, Cut Copy, Benjamin Theves, Revl9n & label-mate Uffie - not to mention Kelis."

Some time ago i started a music blog called “Ostinato” on which i post mixes made from friends / music lovers. We try to propose and to make discover great music in any kind of styles, fields, genres... (for exemple you can find on it ones of the first “musique classique / post modern / experimental” mixes ever made... named: “Ostinato Rubato” and “Contrepoints”) Each mix is available at Colette, they all come in the same package (ziplock black opac, black CD, gold sticker), no branding, no track listing only some infos about the style of musics, who mixed it and the duration, that’s it. Each one have is own symbol on a sticker to make them recognisable to each other ones, the music is burned on black CDs and the title of the CD is engrave on it and all the CDs are numerised as limited to 41 pieces. Thats for the physical editions but every mixes are available one month after its released as free download on the blog. Music only music, good music! It’s only the beginning!
